THE RUNNYMEDE PROJECT IS ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Runnymede is a small farm in North Hampton, NH. In the past, the property has been used to raise dairy cows, thoroughbred race horses, chickens, goats, and other strong-minded individuals. In this next incarnation, the land will be reinvigorated as a small diversified farm and site for the artist-driven Runnymede Project.

The Runnymede Project is about actively reconsidering modes of 'being-in-the-world'. This idea encompasses questions of our relationship to the environment, time and each other. As a collective practice, we will examine experience daily through observing, making, thinking, doing, and not doing.

The project is aimed at discovering an alternative to the dominant hegemonic systems (of education, labor, housing, commerce, art, etc…) in which many of us involuntarily find ourselves. That said, Runnymede is also fundamentally an open-ended experiment whose mission will be continually determined by those who are a part of making it vital at any given time.

It is in the spirit of Donald Judd's Marfa, TX, Min Tanaka's Body Weather Farm, Black Mountain College, Bread and Puppet and countless other sites and projects that have, and continue to embody the ethos of cultural change and renewal, that we invite the Runnymede Project into being.
